We first began working with Gil Martinez in the late 7O's when he was retrained by the Hunt Brothers for a new community being developed in west Phoenix, Arrowhead Ranch. The townspeople were initially very agitated about this large size project because at the time, 'master planned communities' where relatively new. After seeing Gil's plans and the respectful way we would treat the desert environment, they got behind the project. Today Arrowhead Golf Club has matured into fully developed, successful community and its home to a course of which we are all very proud.

We have had such a good time working with Gil and always respect his creativity, his understanding of the land and the politics around development. He is a consummate team player. We were also pleased to work with Gil on Tradition in La Quinta, which posed its own unique set of environmental challenges. Our success at Tradition lead to the opportunity to design and develop the Championship Course at SilverRock Resort next door.
